My Story
I’m Dr. Shonna — wife, mother of two, board-certified obstetric anesthesiologist, entrepreneur, and the creator behind The Wealthy Anesthesiologist.
After 13 years of medical education and training, I finally reached a dream I had been working toward for over a decade. What I didn’t expect was the clarity that followed. Medicine shaped me, stretched me, and taught me discipline at the highest level… but it also consumed me. It left very little space to explore who I was outside of my career.
So, when I finally reached the “finish line,” I realized something important:
Success wasn’t the end — it was the foundation.
That realization pushed me to explore the parts of myself I hadn’t had time to develop: creativity, entrepreneurship, leadership, and the drive to help others elevate their lives in their own way.
That’s how this brand was born.
